Community Circles.
Vision
Create an atmosphere where today’s person is born, grows, serves and leads others to partake in the EWC Mandate.
The community system is designed to ensure that the mission and vision of Empowerment Worship Centre is transported into a practical daily living format for members of the church. We have therefore broken the mission of the church into a more simple and practical form that can be understood and constructively monitored in the lives of our members.
Bible Community
Moses would have died had it not been the creation of sizable groups with leaders to take charge of the people. Exodus 18:17-21
Jesus defined the small church as the gathering of two or three. Matthew 18:20
Jesus in the miracle of feeding the five thousand and three thousand asked them to sit in companies of fifties. Luke 9:14 and John 6:10.
The disciples moved in communities and small groups. Acts 2:42-47, Acts 5:42
Circle Objectives
The objective of a Community is to promote intimacy with God and each other. Communities help us to forge the bonds that will make us who God wants us to be in eternity.
The four words which promote this objective are:

Care
Accountability
Our Community
The community is the platform we have designed for this to be possible.
A community Definition : [Merriam Webster] is a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society. This means a community is the closed and most comfortable group of people you have in a society. They share your characteristics and interests.
The EWC Community is designed just like that. It is where you are born, grow, serve and lead. Everything happens in a community. Just as the cell is the basic structure of the human body, the community is the basic family structure in the church. Every member of the church must exist in the community.
